We do this about two or three days a week depending on what else we are doing. It has always had a backseat in my life and I am happy for it to stay there. Set Free Childhood by Martin Large is a good read on this very subject. sustainablemumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04099701194160334671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225854741404387995.post-64797284684696074732012-12-01T10:13:18.981+00:002012-12-01T10:13:18.981+00:00What's the first film you will watch together ...What's the first film you will watch together going to be after a month without them?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225854741404387995.post-17138764686594809762012-12-01T10:03:39.095+00:002012-12-01T10:03:39.095+00:00Great to see another Daddyblog on here especially ...Great to see another Daddyblog on here especially on a subject that is likely to make us all feel guilty (we have all benn guilty of making tv a babysitter!)

I thought this was really good, and is definately encouraging me to make a change in my own house towards less CBeebies!Mikenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225854741404387995.post-13265691870647834702012-12-01T09:57:47.097+00:002012-12-01T09:57:47.097+00:00Stephen is at work right now, but I'm sure he ...Stephen is at work right now, but I'm sure he will be stoked when he reads this upon his return!

E, xCrafty By Nurturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15796355489453786563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225854741404387995.post-80585110434397683142012-12-01T09:56:39.778+00:002012-12-01T09:56:39.778+00:00Done and done!

The more TV, the harder it is for children to concentrate and focus, and without exception it has an effect on behavior too. Much less aggressive play and confrontation when we stopped watching very much. I'm sure you'll notice a difference over time with your son. I can't imagine we will start watching TV but we so have film days sometimes - althoigh we are quite strict with what we watch and things like HP would definitely be a no no til my kids are much older.
JaneJanenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225854741404387995.post-71658601694534252882012-12-01T08:30:42.715+00:002012-12-01T08:30:42.715+00:00I love this! I think it's great, Niamh already has restricted TV time when she's with us and generally we do lots more activities like dressing up, colouring, going out on her bike, going to the park... All sorts of stuff that doesn't include the TV. I just loved reading this blog! :-D Ariannenoreply@blogger.com
